Akamai Outage Affects Numerous Sites
Filed in: Web — June 16th, 2004Performance problems at Akamai are affecting the availability of many web sites today. Among the sites that have experienced outages are Microsoft and antivirus update services from Symantec and TrendMicro, while performance problems were reported at sites including Yahoo, Google and Apple. The performance problems are DNS-related, according to numerous posts to network operators’ mailing lists.
