Apple iPod Touch and iPod Nano with Video
Filed in: Gadgets — September 6th, 2007Apple reveals new iPod Touch and iPod nano with video. The iPod Touch is an iPhone like media player with touch screen. The redesigned iPod Nano now support video playback on its small screen.
iPod Touch is the iPhone without phone function. iPod Touch has the same 3.5 inch touch screen for fancy navigations and user interface controls. It support WiFi for wireless Internet connection, you can surf net with build-in Safari web browser or watch YouTube videos. iPod Touch has capacity of 8GB ($299 USD) or 16GB ($399 USD), black color only.
iPod nano with video is the redesigned iPod nano to support video playback. Unlike previous tall & slim design, the new iPod nano looks short and fat (in fact, it has same depth). It has a bigger 2-inch display (previously 1.5-inch) which support 320×240 pixels resolution. Your digital camera has a bigger LCD screen size. iPod nano with video has capacity of 4GB ($149 USD) or 8GB ($199 USD), 5 colors to choose from.

With the new and redesigned iPod, all iPod now support video playback, except the little iPod shuffle.
Local iTunes Store, please?
Apple also launched new iTunes Wi-Fi music store for iPod Touch and iPhone users to purchase and download music on the go.
We can see that Apple focus very much on its iTunes Store to sell music and videos, afterall, it is where Apple make the money. However, iTune Store is only available to a few countries.
Without iTunes Store, iPod is just another MP3 player with beautiful design. I wonder when will we have a iTunes Store with local songs?
