Google’s Server Down?!

Hmm… strangely I cannot load Google.com since 3am++. When I access http://www.google.com, it return “cannot find server” error.

Checked with DNSreport.com, there is a warning at “CNAME Lookup”:

WARNING. Your web site (www.google.com) has a CNAME record pointing to www.google.akadns.net.. That by itself is confusing, but acceptable. However, the CNAME record in this case causes an extra DNS lookup, which will slightly delay visitors to your website, and use extra bandwidth.

Besides, Google.com’s SOA MINIMUM TTL is : 60 seconds, which is very low compares to normal setting(3600 and 10800 seconds). I guess it is doing server updates?

The weird thing is that Mozilla CAN access Google.com, while at the same time Internet Explorer(IE) cannot!?!?!

I am confused. Doesn’t both are browsers? Why one can load Google.com but another cannot, at the same time, same PC and same connection? The only reason I can think of is that IE loading page timeout period is shorter than Mozilla.

Any idea?

BTW, I test it using Mozilla 1.7 beta.
