No More AltaVista.com ?

Was try to access AltaVista.com do word translation, surprisingly, it return a Yahoo! – 999 This page is currently unavailable. After some search, only I realised that Yahoo! has bought AltaVista…

I am so un-sensitive about search engines news huh? Till today only I found that Altavista is no more there. Too much Google? Heh. ;)

    Yeah...Yahoo is buying up all the right to Altavista and some other search engine sites.
    Apparently by the end of the year or something like that, Yahoo will switch to it's own personal search engine that differs from Google. Go figure...
