Walla! Another Free 1GB Webmail!
Filed in: Web — July 8th, 2004
Israeli Web portal provider Walla Communications has launched WallaMail, a new service offering users tools such as in-box search, an e-mail filtering system, an antivirus application, and, of course, a lot of space. It offers enough space, in fact, to archive 40,000 e-mails, 2000 pictures, and 50 one-minute video clips, the company says.

Quick Review:
- 1GB space.
- Free registeration, no invitation needed.
- Minimum username is 4 characters
- The interface is clean, looks like Yahoo! Mail.
- There is a top banner ads at every page.
- The compose area support HTML message and WYSIWYG text editing.
- Doesn’t work right with Mozilla Firefox, cannot send email by clicking “send” button. Anyway, it works perfectly well in Internet Explorer.
Thought:
Walao! Immediately, I registered TWO! (kiasu betul…
) Anyone haven’t get Gmail yet may get a Wallamail as replacement.
The company claims that they have offer free webmail service for 3 years. Well, hopefully it does not end up like the 2GB Aventuremail.
Afterall, I still prefer Gmail. Erm… because I hate pic ads too much!
