Time to Change a Mouse?

I have been using my current mouse(unbrand) for more than four years. I like it very much, it fits my palm very well. However, the left button acts strangely recently.

It double clicks when I am single clicking! It gives me headache when browsing because I configure single click on browser tab is select, double click on tab is close. When I want to select a tab, it close it!

GuoLiang just bought a Samsung optical mouse for RM35. It looks nice and the price is quite reasonable. Hardly find an optical mouse at that price. I was asking the twins to buy for me when they plan to goto PC Fair last weekend, but they didn’t go…

So, maybe goto LowYat in this week and catch a mouse, an optical mouse back.

Send an email to mouse makers telling them your weblog was featured in the Star newspaper and you will blog about their product on your site. I bet they will send you one for free!
  • i have the same problem with my wireless optical mouse. it's like
it's too sensitive. one click become 2 clicks! at explorer, when
i just want to highlight a file to look at it (single click), it
suddenly opens the file instead (double click)!! very frustrating
    at times!
  • lucia: you can set "single-click to open an item (point to select)" in "folder options".
  • my touchmouse is haunted.. :( sometimes it goes around clicking things by itself.
  • natasha: you have a high AI mouse!
  • personally i prefered Microsoft optical mouse. The palm size are just right, the latest one even have side scroll!
the last time i check, wireless keyboard + wireless mouse (come in a package) cost around 250 ringgit, which is quite a
good price. Well of coz you just need a mouse

regarding to the monitor we were talking about last time. Try look for second hand monitor in malaysia. They should be pretty
cheap now (for CRT). I got a second hand 15' Phillip CRT for 30 ringgit (10 AUD). The 17' CRT is around 35 AUD (around 95
ringgit). Just do a search for it in some auction place :)

Many optical mouses of logitech I used have this problem.
    When I single-click, they sometimes behave double-clicks.
I'm sure my setting is correct. This problem never occur on my ball mouse.
I usaully use the optical mouse to move the pointer and use the ball mouse to single-click., when it behave strange.
  • use two mouse at once?!
