The website is a community website for my hometown – Kluang. It will online in next few days. I will need some content contributors by then…
Looks simple huh? But it cost me whole week on it! No, I do not design the beautiful template. Most of the time are used to RTFM, trial & error, searching for suitable components/modules, looking for bug fix, and customization.
Mambo is easy to use. Instead, I take more time to look for other optional components than learning. Thankfully, you can find most of the components/modules at MamboPortal.
Developer may have difficulty to find documentation that tell you how to write custom Mambo components and modules. Examing others’ packages and ask in Mambo forum are good ways to learn it.
Well, I am still learning how to create custom Mambo package.
After completed this community website, I will convert my college community website(phpNuke based) to Mambo. Then, one of my freelance project will based on Mambo. Custom component and template modification are required.
September is Mambo month!
