Lowyat.NET

Just found that the popular Malaysia tech community website — Lowyat.NET have switched website system to Mambo from phpNuke. According to the website news, it just switched few days ago. You can that see there are some parts are not completed yet or return link error. Anyway, I am sure the webmaster will fix them soon. :)

Thought:
Somehow, I feel excited when people switch from phpNuke to Mambo…

If you are wondering about the reason of so many websites switched to Mambo from *nuke… why don’t try it out by yourselves?! Maybe your site is the next to switch!

Oh. You can try out Mambo without installing it first at OpenSourceCMS.com(It is also another switched site!).

  • I have tried Mambo and it really has a nice and tidy interface especially for the admin part. However my personal favourite is still XOOPS. Seems to me Mambo has some commercial flavour to it as it is selling a commercial version. The "open source" version feels like a cheap version of the main thing. Don't quite like that. Prefer a FULL open source package like XOOPS.
