No Phone Line, Blogging in CyberCafe
Filed in: Life Log — November 1st, 2004For your information, I am leaving KL and back to hometown(Kluang) for my new job. I applied to terminate my phone line in KL last Saturday and got it cut today. So, no phone line, no Internet.
Don’t need to worry about Internet access. There are a few CyberCafe nearby. Each hour for only RM2 and get high download speed, big monitor(Oh! My 15″ monitor is really small!).
In fact, I seldom goto CyberCafe. First, I don’t play games. Second, I dislike people beside me when I am using computer(you know, privacy). Thirdly, I dislike dark room. I wonder why every CyberCafe need to be dark?! Lastly, I dislike noisy place. Really cannot tahan(stand) the games sound wave!
For my security concern, I brought my pendrive, with Firefox & Thunderbird build-in, to the CyberCafe. Unfortunately, it’s Windows XP gave me “Illegal Operation” when I try to load Firefox and Thunderbird. *sigh*
Found that the Internet Explorer is haunted by unknown toolbars, I don’t dare to take the risk to reveal my browsing habits. I launched http://www.GetFirefox.com and installed it. Feel safer with the Fox. ![]()
Thought:
Accept it or not, CyberCafe is equals to Gaming Centre. I wish to have a Cyber Cafe with good, quiet and comfortable, environment. ![]()
