Wordpress Plugin: Auto Ping PPS (alpha)

I wrote a manual to ping Project Petaling Street(PPS) previously. The instruction is quite troublesome and there is request for Ping PPS plugin. It enlighten me and I wrote this small plugin to auto insert PPS ping URL for you.

  1. Download ping-pps plugin.
  2. Edit the file. Replace PPS URL(line #13) with the PPS ping URL(provided to you after PPS registeration).
  3. Rename the .txt file extension to .php, so that the filename become ping-pps.php
  4. Upload the file into your WP’s /wp-content/plugin directory.
  5. Active the plugin. Done.
Note:
Tested on Wordpress 1.5 using Firefox, work for normal edit mode only. I am still working on it for Advance mode.

    I don't recommend to do auto trackback to PPS now.

    I'm surprised by your comment above. How come you don't recommend automatic trackbacks to PPS?

    @Passionista: because a few bloggers get banned from PPS due to fast pingging during wordpress upgrade process.
