Tips for Better Adsense Ad Layout

You put adsense in your website, you got alot visitors but the adsense click rate is very low(less than 0.5%?). What’s going wrong?!

I have few tips for you on Google Adsense Ad layout settings. (Er… two simple tips.)

Note: these tips may or may not work for your site, but they works for me and some Adsense earners recommended them.

Read on only if you are money minded.

  • Do not use border.
  • Use website theme colors.

Why?!
Because… the best ad is the one looks like content. Don’t let your visitor know it is an ad!(and don’t ask them to click Ads)

Bad huh? Not that bad actually… no matter how hard you try, the “Ads by Gooooogle” still displayed.

I recommend you to track the ad performance before and after applying these tips. Some sites may works well with standout ads. Who knows? Good luck! :)

    @~shadow~: you can think of a topic that interest you and create a blog to focus on that topic.

    btw, I got adsense check montly only started at April 2005, after half year I run adsense. Don't give up too early.

    @Cornelius Gee: Yes, I mention about the heat map previously. It is for ad placement.

    Let me add my two cents worth. Got this from a forum. Recently Google released a "Heat Map" on Google Ads location in a webpage with the highest click rates.

    The ones in Orange colours are the ones with the high click rates.

  • sigh... my site just don't seemed to attract profit... i know i know, adsense don't go in favour for personal blog, but what else can i write about? so nice of you getting cheque every month, how i wish i could earn some money for my pocket money so that my parents don't have to spend much on me... :(

    No, lilian! Don't ever think about pakat-pakat thing! It is not hard for Google to find out, the accounts will be terminated and blacklisted!

    Earn profit from the right way. We can use tricks but cannot cheat. :)

    Thanks to your useful tips, I have earned USD1.79 in less than a week! Woohoo, it is certainly very thrilling. Much more thrilling than seeing web traffics.

    Now, I wonder....Can we set up a syndicate amongst a circle of friends, and we pakat-pakat click each other ads? Will google know that? hahaha, I am very money minded/eye now. Thanks to your encouragement. And I really mean it - Thank you!
