Google Toolbar for Firefox
Filed in: Downloads, Google — July 8th, 2005Finally, Google released Google Toolbar for Firefox!
What are the differents with the IE version?
Basically the Google toolbar for Firefox works the same as the Internet Explorer version (review of Google toolbar for IE), except that…
- It works for Firefox!

- Re-sizable search box
- No pop-up blocker(as Firefox already has the feature)
- Vertical PageRank bar
- Added Gmail button
- No voting button
Other Firefox extensions from Google
Besides Google toolbar for Firefox, Google also release another two Firefox extensions:
- Google Send to Phone — Send text messages of web page content to your mobile phone (U.S. numbers only).
- Google Suggest — Auto-complete search terms that you enter in the Firefox Search bar.
Thought:
I always want to Google toolbar spelling checking and world translator in Firefox. Thanks to Google, it is possible now.
I have disabled two of my must have Firefox extensions: Gmail notifier and Google PageRank status, because Google toolbar has the features. (Google toolbar’s Gmail icon only open Gmail page, it does not notify you about new email.)
I have no complain about the Google toolbar for Firefox, but… please use back the horizontal PageRank bar!
