Wireless Network to Cover the City of London
Filed in: Technology — February 22nd, 2006What would you do in a city with wireless network coverage, where you can go online at every corner of the city?
The City of London is to offer ubiquitous wireless internet access, with hardware installed in lampposts and street signs.
Internet provider The Cloud is joining with the City of London Corporation to turn the entire business area into a gigantic Wi-Fi hotspot.
Of course, it is not a free service. You pay by business subscription or using a pay-as-you-go account.

My two cents
Cellphones will not be needed in London. They use VOIP. ![]()
I don’t know when we will get city wide wireless network in Malaysia. I am afraid hardwares installed in lampposts and street signs will get lost or spoiled the next day…
