After spending several hours of trial and error, I am finally done with the new page header. It is now more slim and compact.

slim header

Changes:

  • Shorter header image and white border is removed.
  • Replaced tabs with text links. Larger text.
  • Move the search form into the page header, wrapped with a rounded box.

The idea was inspired by Mozilla Update and iconaholic.com. The rounded box’s code and images were generated by CSS Rounded Box Generator.

Well, I hope you would like the new look as much as I do. :)

Thank you, Tim. I will get a PC to check it.
IE is really giving headache to web design beginner... :(
  • Looks like it's all messing up in IE. :/ It's really troublesome to get all the browsers to get to work with 1 design, but that's the routine work you've to go through if you're in this kind of business.
  • It's look cacat in my Ubuntu Firefox. Search Form running out from the header..

  • not working on my firefox... the whole white tab is misplaced...

Does the header still messy? Please email me a screenshot and tell me the OS and browser versions. Thanks!
  • it works great on IE and Firefox.
  • Still doesn't looks good in my firefox.

Wah, You have more than 12 different scripts running.
Perhaps cause by the javascript that blocked.

I think should be OK with other browser.
  • I'm using Safari 2.0 on my Mac here. When i hover the links the search box droops below the header. Is this intended? You should really look into enhancing the aesthetics of your site. It's getting a little impersonal with the ads.
