i think TM need 2 overhaul their service ,provide rubbish connection they even dare to say Broadband it should Narrowband in the 90′ . hope next year they will go bankrupt

Well, it about protecting thier investment. Citizens are disposable. That what happen everytime.

We as responsible citizen have rigth to complain to the so called FOMCA and seek the elected representive from our community via so called proper channel for govt intervention.

Any way TM is a public listed company. Anyone who had purchase a shared, has the right to attended the AGM and voice out the issues. With majority of the shareholders votes can changes/terminate the existing incopetent TM’s workforce. However, that not the case with the shareholders, where they only wants to protect their’s investement and ripped as much as possible from the citizens. (rich become richer – alway a way to take by tricking/cone even an educated citizens (so innocoence)

What happen now, everybody expresses their discontent, which is of no use.
I hope all of u get my mesage clearly.

why dont you guys check MCMC ISP guidelines in regarding the Multimedia Act 1998, the part where it defines the standard of service should be delivered by ISPs. It’s quite detailed.

Let’s see where tmnet fails (especially packet drop rate and ), and try to start a collective lawsuit from all tmnet users. i’m sure lawyers use tmnet too.

maybe we are able “not to pay” tmnet untill service delivered within the standard in the guidelines.

It is still fortunate that if you are able to get around 45-178KB.

I am currently subscribe 1MBPS (125KB) Streamyx with my brother, but what we get is when we tried to check the speed via Speedometer in TM Net is just barely 15-25KB/S…

While our area’s Streamyx always facing disconnection problem, we still ought to pay for RM 66-88 and we are not having the service that we have paid for.

I think that TM Net is only know how to earn money, while not intends to improve their service with the profits they have.

I don’t really know how is the situation in Malaysia’s TMNet… But I have been living in China, what, coming third years…the broadband speed there is not bad at all actually sometime over performance…..Come to think of it, China just opened itself in the mid 70s about 35years ago and Malaysia 50s years and their network infrastructure bypass us already……UNACCEPTABLE

TMNet, what are you doing are this years, and the government too. Targeting 25% for broadband user by the end of 2008, our government must be having sweet dream……

BTW, it can see why all the customer unhappy about… by the statistic from the http://www.speedtest.net site. Their result just between 45kB/s-178kB/s compare to USA 20000kB/s-25000kB/s. Of course, their have better network management FIBER OPTIC lah….

AS at March 21 2007, TM has 3 million internet users including some 915,000 broadband customers.

Go to the following TMnet site. the picture says you can download MP3’s in seconds. I take this as endorsement that file sharing is one of the benefits for broadband.

With 915K users paying an average of say RM50 per month. TM collects RM45.75M per month which works out to RM549M per year from broadband users alone.

All of these users depend on the technology for their service, I assume it should make good sense to continue to upgrade the network and feed their goose that lays the golden egg.

Any other excuse for not upgrading the network is not acceptable. If I am a business person, this is the lowest risk of all investments. You have a captive audience with more appetite for higher bandwidth. I am sure all the other telcos bidded for 3G/Wimax licenses to get in on the action. If TM is so blinded by their success, what can I say??? If they have any common sense, they should upgrade their bandwidth offering every 12 months to keep their customers happy so that this can continue to lay golden eggs for TM!!!

If I am the TM CEO and I don’t see bandwidth offering doubling every 18 months as per Moore’s law, I would replace the team every 18 months!!!

i think just like this… if tmnet cant give the customer what customer want. goverment should take action. coz we customers r KING. and always right. dont just think about profit from blind IT just paid monthly n never know the diffrent between 512k n 1mb.

TMnet said we can’ve 60% speed from our SUBSCRIBE PACKAGE, atlease!!!

we r user know where is our broadband level. its like we paid RM60 product for RM100. if ppl dont get what i said try make ur bandwith speed test.

the prob is not from p2p usage actually. or we cant blame tmnet also. we’ve to accept that we malaysian… for this time that far we can go… we’ve to pay more to have less in it.

we dont’ve to blaming each others… but we’ve to scarifies…

perhaps our new generation dont get what tmnet give us now.

Btw… I wondering where is the streamyx money go? implement the services? and why limited our speed of the P2P? Torrent doesn’t really effect if the money goes for implement the services,Why other country have no problem with that? let’s just do some comparison with the singnet. (Singapore Broadband) http://www.singnet.com. $49.95 for 5Mbps and Free ADSL2 and ethernet modem, how about our malaysia? umm.. RM 88 for 1MB? free umm.. slow services and troubles?
