the reason I don’t publish the fake email content is to avoid ppl misunderstand that it is from me. I will get into real trouble then.

actually the email message is simple, something like “hey, come to *** site and click the ads”.

lol, I think you misunderstood here. The fake email is not from google adsense. The fake email is an email with liew name there sent to ask people click on adsense ads on his blog. Somehow, google know about the email and sent the warning email to liew.

I hope you don’t mind liew, I’m clarifying some confusion here. And I guess, you can publish the fake email so your reader can see it

I think the title of the post can be quite confusing to some. Was the email really fake, i.e. it didn’t come Google Adsense team? Was it a phishing attempt? If that’s the case, no need to reply.

But if the email is genuine and comes from Google Adsense but the concern it addresses is inaccurate due to click fraud done by people other than yourself than you’ve done the correct thing by contacting them.

Been there, done that.

I already got about 5-6 fake emails from “adsense”. Nothing to be panic about.

Ever heard about “header” details? By default, most web-based email service and local ( software ) tend to “hide” the details. Turn back the function and you can see who were sending you fake emails.

I think google adsense understand and they do monitor the IP address. If ur innocent, then u got nothing to be afraid.

yea, that is true, the adsense team is NOT as bad as some people say.
I guess if you have a popular site/blog..click fraud tends to happen..cause of jealousy..etc…
