Why ClickBank Reject Malaysian?

I learned that ClickBank does not accept Malaysian registration, and Malaysian cannot purchase e-products via ClickBank. I wrote an email to ClickBank account department and here is their reply.

Our fraud detection systems are adjusted frequently as global fraud patterns mutate. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when these patterns will shift and allow ClickBank to accept affiliates and publishers from your country. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we trust you understand our need to protect ClickBank, our customers, and our publishers from potential fraud.

It sounds like a template reply but we know the reason why Malaysians are banned. It is because of “fraud“. *sigh*

ClickBank is a top online billing and marketing service for the development of affiliate programs.

    Heard they have now even a solution for proxy surfing and banking without coming to Singapore!

    @San: Yes, I bought Chapter-M and I am a master reseller of the ebook. :)

    Generally, it teaches you how to get a oversea bank account, etrade account, virtual office account to be used for PayPal and ClickBank.

    If you only want to withdraw PayPal funds locally, I recommend you to download the free ebook titled MalaysiaPal.

    I think this might be one of the biggest obstacles that facing by Malaysian whom are
    interested to start the online business.
    I do not know why CB rejected Malaysia until I found this page.
    What a dissappointed!
    Maybe , this is one of the reason that I rarely saw Successful Internet Marketer in Malaysia.
    (yeah , what I said rarely not meaning tht none. You still can find some of them.
    However, they will brings you to the secret behind if you do a little INVESTMENT.)

    I do not know this guys, I do not purchase taht. Why I not buying tht, SImple, I have no budget.

  • If you’re from countries who were banned, why not turn this bad situation into a good one and make money from it? Why not start your own Clickbank type marketplace and online payment services to service people from your countries?

    A good suggestion. Perhaps we can learn from the existence of Mike Filsaime's PayDotCom.

    BTW, I've just got my second Clickbank account, and I use Malaysian address for both.

    How to get a friend in Singapore to help? Key in his address when u sign up for CB account? (I did that) Then ask him to kindly sent CB checks to your home address in Malaysia? OR deposit the money into his bank account too? (When you have made BIG money, direct deposit would be more convenient) But u got to keep your fingers crossed that he will give u back your money! ;-) Is there a better way??
  • yup..i just sign up for paydotcom.com. It accept malaysian, but I am still planing on how to sell their products.

    I read about your post concerning the issue that Clickbank and online payment sevrices have banned certain countries by claiming that their actions were warranted by high fraud rate from those countries.

    You need not agonize about this because it can be a blessing in disguise.

    If you're from countries who were banned, why not turn this bad situation into a good one and make money from it? Why not start your own Clickbank type marketplace and online payment services to service people from your countries?

    After all this is what makes America great!

    Americans have a knack and are skilled in turning mud into gold.

    They have skill in turning anything bad into good and build a fortune based on it.

    So, quit agonizing and take concrete steps to turn a bad situation into a good one and get rich from it too.

    Hey David,

    Alright, so you have a registered Singapore Address as a corresponding address to ClickBank and CJ, but what about the cheques? Do you think we could Bank in the Clickbank cheques into our Malaysian account? Wouldn't ClickBank or CJ trace that payment and reject it because it is withdrawn to a Malaysian Bank Account? This is a real problem. I have got over US$200 now in my ClickBank account, and I'm planning to get them to send it to my friend in Singapore.
  • I didn't know Malaysians can't buy Clickbank products - I buy them all the time but always select the Paypal option rather than the credit card method - I think it's the payment via the use of Malaysia-issued credit cards that's disallowed.

    I've signed up with Clickbank and Commission Junction by opening an account with http://www.virtualoffice.com.sg/ - an annual fee is applicable, and they forward all mails to our Malaysian address.
  • Just a thought, but have you tried to register at http://www.paydotcom.com? You will also find a lot of clickbank merchants selling their info-products there too.

Just put up some decent content, slap in the Adsense and promote your website.   • Wonderful! Yes CB is just an Affiliate Program Aggregator. You can choose to promote thousands of products and you can post your own product up and source for affiliates to sell it. Though like anything else, the easy part is setting up and the hard part is making money. Some of our US kakis make US$30k+ per month on Clickbank ;)

  • You can actually still sign-up for ClickBank even from Malaysia. Just select another country like Singapore or Australia. As long as u have an overseas address and bank account, u're set. But I agree it's really unfair.... we are seeing an ecommerce boom in Affiliate programs and Malaysians are missing out!

  • Creative affiliate program also don't accept Malaysian.

    Many years ago, SAP didn't provide me the flexibility of obtaining a demo version for ABAP. I have to make use of a Singaporean address.
  • I learnt a lot of ways to earn money by using clickbank.....but can't try it cos Malaysian are banned from ClickBank....what a shame :(
