Chat with Encarta via MSN Messenger
Filed in: Interesting, Microsoft, Tips n Tricks — June 26th, 2006Looking for fast encyclopedia answer? Ask Encarta via your MSN Messenger!

Yes, it is a robot. Its name is Encarta Instant Answers. The above screenshot is my chat log with Encarta Instant Answers. Basically, you may ask any question in nature language. Encarta will try to answer you or open Microsoft Encarta (if installed on your PC) for the result.
How to add Encarta?
Simply add a new contact: encarta@conversagent.com. You will be greet by the robot when you send a dumb message. You may choose among Encarta Australia, Encarta Canada, Encarta UK, and Encarta US.
First impression
Since it is a robot, I didn’t expect too much. It gives only short answers and try to take you to MS Encarta. Sometimes, it takes a few seconds to return the answer.
Generally, it is fun and worthy of a try. ![]()
P.S. Encarta does mathematics too!
