AdSense Trick: Unrelated Ads by Purpose
Filed in: Adsense Tips, Make Money Online — July 19th, 2006Recently, I came across a few pictures and video blogs, which are using some unrelated text to get high paying AdSense ads.
We know that pictures and video blogs have less text content(one or two sentences) and the related AdSense ads do not pay well. If you put a paragraph with high paying keywords, the AdSense ads will change to the display high paying related keywords.
Great, huh? No, it is bad.

Screenshot taken from a funny pic/video blog. The paragraph is a advertising text for web hosting service, with a referral link. Web hosting is high paying keyword.
Why is it bad?
Refer to AdSense Program Policies, to find there is a clause under “Site Content” that says your site may not include:
Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
Also, under “Webmaster Guidelines”
Do not load pages with irrelevant or excessive key words.
So, we know that Google AdSense dislike web pages with unrelated keywords. Do not do it.
