i do both,i think in order to do that you would have to be an active member of popular forums..just to get the diea of how much people are paying for ads..etc…

forums like digitalpoint,sitepoint and namepros are a good place to start.

Yeah, setting ad price is tricky.

Normally, I will refer to the price in the 3rd party ads network. Find a similar website (PR, traffic, etc) and see how much their ads worth.

I will set a cheaper price for private ad sales, because I saved the commission and can keep a good relationship with the advertisers. Private advertisers usually will renew their ads continuously.

but i think it’s hard for yourself to value your own site isn’t it? how much do you think it’ll cost to advertise in liewcf?

Nice Idea. But small sites won’t get much attention
