Fight Global Warming

Global warming is getting serious in recent years. The global temperatures is increasing dramatically since 1980.
Google recently invited teachers and students to brainstorm strategies for combating global warming. Google picked the top 50 ideas and publish them on full-page ads in USA Today.
I like the idea of “Put light sensors in all office and school buildings so all lights go off when the rooms are empty.”
As computer user, how can you help?
You can optimize your PC’s power consumption by using a more effective power save mode. I found LocalCooling do the job and it is cool.
There are many power saving tools, but LocalCooling is the first tool that shows you how much trees, gallons, and KWh saved. It is a freeware by Uniblue.
Let’s fight global warming! (…and cut your energy bills)
