This could possibly lower the click-through rates as the logo makes the ads look more like, well, ads. And they may also screw up some blending techniques if your ads background it not white. Let`s just pray it is only a test. If they go on with this our CTR will suck big time!

This is certainly not a good news…. once implemented, the contextual ads would looks ugly. Might spoiled our webpage’s looks.

Google is tightening the ring around low and average earning publishers and ignoring their interests because they know they have a very strong monopoly in the contextual ads market. Not only this will decrease CTR, but it will also reduce the transparency of the ads, something that might get the ads to be even more annoying to publishers.

Yes, I agree that showing the logo will somehow decrease the CTR and increase the Ad Blindness. I wonder why Google doesn't remove the Ads by Google. Also, if you visit Digg.com, you can see that the "Ads by Google" is nearly transparent!
