Slow IE7 due to Phishing Filter

Your Windows Internet Explorer 7 is responding very slowly? It could be due to the Phishing Filter evaluating Web page contents. Microsoft suggest to install security update for IE7 to solve the problem. But, the solution didn’t work for my friend. He reverted back to IE6.

    I have a fast Athlon 64 desktop and a painfully slow Celeron laptop. IE7 is a pain on the Athlon machine, taking 30 seconds to start Google (yes, I tried the phishinf filter tips). The laptop is as fast starting Google on IE7 as it was on IE6!
    I have reverted to IE6 on the Athlon and kept IE7 on the laptop. I would still like to know why, though.
