Top Posts by Category Plugin allows you to display best posts which determined by the number of visits to the post or number of comments. Top posts list is recommended to increase blog traffic and new readers. Currently, I am using my in house script for the Popular page, powered by Alex King’s Popular Context plugin.

while many will still stick with UTW, I think the WordPress community will come out a "tags migration script" as soon as new WP released. :)

No Porblem. I am more Worried about the tag feature that is coming with next major version of wordpress , itS similar to UTW

popularity context plugin hooks into the wordpress. Now if your file is cahced it will not call wordpress but the cached file hence the result will not be accurate

popularity context does not work with wp-cache?

Yes it does but then it does not work with wp-cache :(

yeah, i think so. that's why I pull data from Alex King's plugin. I think it has more optimized code. :)

The plugin is awsome but it puts heavy load on database. After acessing the top post page my site goes slows. Even other blogs faced the same problem. I saw the code inside its not optimized. Thats is one big drawback
