PidginPidgin is a multi-protocol instant messaging client for Linux, BSD, Unix and Windows. It supports AIM, ICQ, Jabber/XMPP, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, QQ, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE, and Zephyr.

So, you can chat with your friends in these networks using Pidgin, no more switching between IM clients.

Pidgin is formerly known as GAIM, a popular multi-protocol IM client, but changed the name as part of a trademark settlement with AOL.

  • Yeah I agree. Meebo is very popular in my office. Particularly when the office is rumoured to have Yahoo Messenger tracking software. Meebo is harder to track. :)
