WordPress 2.2.3 is a security and bug-fix release for the 2.2 series. Immediately upgrade is suggested. WordPress 2.3 will be released at September 24th, 2007.
Since it is a minor upgrade, you can simply replace the changed files for 2.2.3 if you are using 2.2.2.
