Finally, I decided to buy the 1st car in my life! Yesterday I booked the new Honda City 2009, which will be available in Malaysia at the end of 2008.

The Honda City 2009 priced at around RM90,000. The car’s refundable booking fee is RM2,000. There are 5 colors available, if I remember correctly: gold, silver, black, blue, and “polished metal metalic” (like gray).

I picked blue because it is special and unique. Honda City 2009 is the first Honda car with the color. For your information, there is NO red color Honda City 2009 in Malaysia.

I have a driving license 10 years ago, but I never drive a car since then. I will need some practices of driving before receiving my Honda City 2009.

For the past years, my friends and family have been fetching me here and there. I owe them too much. It is my turn to be their driver to pay them back. Also, many friends are looking forward to sit in my car. ;)

congrat..i`m 27..but still dont have a license car..will make it by this dec 2008 for driving exam.
  • It's a wonderful car.Once receiving your car,you could be free to go everywhere.btw, you are encouraging economy too. :p
  • it's about time mate.. :)
  • Good for you Liew,

I drove a City (non Vtec) version in 2005/2006. It had 7 speed auto. Verrrry economical. At that time the petrol price was, I think, about $1.52/litre or about there. One tank full is about RM60.

I drove from Penang to KL at 110km/hr all the way and the meter still show above half tank. I went around KL for one week before I need to refuel. The speedo is about 500+ per tankful.

However the current City is Vtec, so it will be slightly less economical and it come with 5 speed auto.

You will also like the spacious boot. I pratically use the car to shift boxes of my stuff when I was moving house. Talk about space. It can even fit a baby bath tub!

I have subscribed to your blog since last year but this is my first comment in your site. As you have been into blogging longer than me, would appreciate if you can give me some feedback on my blog at protradeshares.com. I started it last year using fredchanblog.com but decided to transfer all my posts to protradeshares this year. This blog provide guides on how to trade shares/stocks in Bursa Malaysia. It explained everything from how to open a trading and cds accounts to the latest happening in the stock broking industries.

    Cheers.
  • Congratz on getting new car!!
You wont go wrong with a Japanese car! :D
  • Congratulations for your first car! You won't need much practice if you are driving an auto transmission car...
