How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 8?

Internet Explorer 8 logoYou have installed Internet Explorer 8 but feel disappointed and want to uninstall it? Here are the instructions to uninstall IE8 on Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Uninstall IE8 on Windows XP

  1. Click “Start” button and select “Control Panel
  2. Select “Add or Remove Programs
  3. Find and select “Windows Internet Explorer 8” from the list of available applications.
  4. Click the “Remove” button.
  5. Restart computer.

Uninstall IE8 on Windows Vista

  1. Click “Start” button and select “Control Panel“.
  2. Select “Programs” (or “Program and Features” if you’re using the Classic View).
  3. Select “View installed updates” (it will be under the Tasks column if you’re using the Classic View).
  4. Find and select “Windows Internet Explorer 8” from the list of available updates.
  5. Click the “Uninstall” button at the top of the list.
  6. Restart computer.

    someone help, Even using this I havent been able to uninstall ie8, it isn't even under installed updates :(

    you cannot uninstall IE-8 or IE-7 after you have installed SP3 after was installed on Win XP. 1st you must un-install SP3 then then remove the IE you dont like then re-install SP3 the install IE-8 or 7 after that is done you can uninstall it at a later date through add/remove progs
