At Last, BlackBerry App World Download for Malaysians
Filed in: Gadgets, Malaysia — March 23rd, 2010
Now Malaysians can download BlackBerry App World to browser other BlackBerry apps and download them!
BlackBerry App Store is a long awaited feature by Malaysian users. Without the online application store, BlackBerry users do not have a centralize place to download/pay for the apps they need. They need to search all over the Internet to find apps for their BlackBerry smartphone.
However, the BlackBerry App World (Malaysia) is currently only offer *free* apps downlaods such as Facebook, Flickr, Bloomberg Mobile, etc. Malaysian users cannot buy the paid app via Blackberry App World, yet.
Well, patience is the key.
For the moment, download BlackBerry App World and install it in your smartphone.
Then, you can browse the Blackberry apps that match your smartphone model. Also, you can browse all the apps using your computer web browser at here.

My two cents
One of my complaints about BlackBerry smartphone in Malaysia is no app store like Apple. Read my previous review of BlackBerry Bold 9000.
This is a good start, although limited to free apps.
Do you know that you need a PayPal account in order to buy apps via BlackBerry App World?
I guess the PayPal system is one of the reasons why paid apps not available to Malaysians yet, right?
BlackBerry users, where do you find your apps?
