Intel Unveils Power-Saving Processors
Intel introduced four new mobile chips this week for small notebooks that operate under severe power constraints, the company says in a release.
The three Low Voltage and Ultra Low Voltage Pentium M chips and one Ultra Low Voltage Celeron M chips use smaller amounts of electrical power than their regular Pentium M counterparts.

AMD Delivers Mobile Processors
AMD today delivered two mobile PC processors, including a 64-bit chip, and has lined up manufacturers preparing to use the technology in their latest portable hardware.
The high-end Athlon 64 3400+, designed for Windows-based notebook PCs, supports both 32-bit and next-generation 64-bit software. It includes the virus protection security feature that is a component in the AMD64 processor family — which will be enabled by the forthcoming Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Thought:
We will get cheaper notebook(those with older cpu) soon? Current notebook price is around RM3500 and above. The price does not getting lower than the boundary, but we get better notebook with same price(compare with last time). Actually I don’t mind to get lower performance notebook with lower price…
