Get Back Windows Product Key

If we happen need to get Windows product(CD) key but forgot what is the key, there is no way we can check the product key from installed Windows. The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a little tool(250KB) to retrieve your Windows and Office product key without sweat. Just launch the software and you get the key!
The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Office 97, and Office XP. This version is a quick update to make it work with Windows Server 2003.

Looking for a utility that will recover a product key from a Win XP Pro CD. XP has never been installed and came with PC I bought separately. Lost all but CD and sleeve. LOL

I used a differnt method to recover my Product key. I had a Dell OEM install disc and no product key. The computer that it came from was my friends and was stolen. I was looking on the internet and found a brief reply on a message bord that told me which file on the windows XP Sp1 cd it was in it worked and it passed the product key screen. its a shame i cant remmember what site its from.

@josh johnson: I don’t think it is legal to use Dell OEM install disc on another computer.

@LcF that depends on local law. In Germany you are allowed to use any OEM on whatever you want. As long as you use ONE OEM-key on just ONE PC ;-).

in oem installation cd’s and unnatended installs all settings are into a file called winnt.sif or/and unnatend.txt.
on “sysprep” installed systems before the firs start of the pc you can find all sytem settings and cd key on ‘c:\sysprep\sysprep.ini.
just boot with a bart pe cd and copy paste to another location
