Samsung today(20 Oct 2004) officially announced the world’s first camera phone with 5-megapixel resolution.
The SCH-S250, available later this month exclusively in Korea, also includes the first QVGA display in a mobile phone that supports 16.7 million colors.
A text-to-speech function is also included, allowing the phone to “speak” to-do lists and incoming text messages.
The 5-megapixel camera, designed in cooperation with Asahi Pentax, features a high-quality CCD sensor, 1/1000-second shutter speed, and QVGA video recording.
The unique “stretch” design protects the display and camera lens when not in use.
92 MB of built-in memory can store up to 100 minutes of high-quality video, and an RS-MMC memory card slot provides additional storage (32 MB card included).
An MP3 player and TV output round out the features.

resolution is only effect the output size. For quality photo, we still need a camera. I don’t think this phone will be available before next year.
