Google Desktop Search is not perfect, of course, it is still beta. One of my most wanted feature is “Mozilla Firefox support” in Google Desktop Search. I wish it can search my Firefox history as well.

If you support Firefox, please place your vote for Firefox support in Google Desktop Search. Besides, you can vote for other features or send your own suggestions.

Google also created a Google Desktop Search newsgroup for related discussions.

I was wondering if I could ask you for a favor….I would like to try to add the Google Desktop search to our Firefox toolbar as an engine selection.

Of course it would only work for people who have the desktop search installed.

I am not running xp or 2000, so I can’t test the desktop search.

Any way you can search your desktop for “ubterms”, no quotes, and send me the resulting search string? I can then plug that into our bar and send it to you to see if we can make it work.

If this is too much of a pain in the you know what, no worries.

    Thanks,

I cannot support Mozilla firefox in any form for the following reasons. 1. It prevents Microsoft Office updates from downloading. 2. Firefox does not display text in Verdana font from websites developed with Microsoft products. Best advice, be fully compatible.

    1. MS Office does not support Firefox.
    2. Firefox does disply Verdana font. Please check your(MS products) HTML coding.

I advice to use Firefox for web browsing, not for MS products update.

Firefox may display Verdana font - but it does so incorrectly.

    Try http://www.riceowls.com/sports/baseball/stats.asp?PAGE_ID=130&SEASON=2005

Then compare to the correct screen rendition in IE.
