New Netscape embraces Firefox, IE

As of 8 a.m. PST Tuesday, Netscape fans were test-driving a prototype Netscape browser that runs on two different browsing engines: the Mozilla Foundation’s Gecko engine, which powers up the Mozilla, Firefox and older Netscape browsers, and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer engine, which many consider the de facto Web standard.

Thought:
A popular IE clone - MyIE(now known as Maxthon) was previously support both IE and Gecko engines. But the current version has removed the feature.
From the screenshots, the new Netscape is TOO many features for me. I still prefer simpler Firefox, I can get the only functions I want by installing extensions. Maybe Netscape intends to attract both Mozilla and IE users, but I don’t think it will success…
