Hong Kong Man Arrested in BitTorrent Probe

Hong Kong authorities have arrested a 38-year-old man who is accused of sharing copyrighted files over the Internet. According to Associated Press reports, Hong Kong’s Customs and Excise Department arrested the unnamed man after an investigation into the file-sharing program BitTorrent. The reports said the suspect has not been charged and that the case is still being investigated.

I wonder why they should treat file sharing over the net is illegal. That should be treated as one of the specilities having internet line. Uhh….luckily malaysia cyberlaw is not that strict yet.

@ahkiong: because he is sharing original copy DVD movie using P2P… The movie is copyrighted, therefore, it is illegal action.
