Connectotel has announced the launch of the public Beta test of its new ‘Skype to SMS’ service. This new service allows Skype users to send SMS text messages from within Skype Chat to any GSM mobile phone user.

“We launched our ‘SMS to Skype’ service just three weeks ago and have been very pleased with the positive feedback from Skype users. Now we are adding the next logical progression: ‘Skype to SMS’”, says Marcus Williamson from Connectotel.

Q. Will everyone be allowed to use this service?
A. We decide whether or not to grant authorization depending on your Skype Profile.

Note: While “Skype to SMS” need to get authorization before you can send free SMS, the “SMS to Skype” is a free service(still need to pay for SMS cost, though).

Thought:
Wow! Free SMS?! This is cool!
But, I am not Skype user(I am more comfortable to type than to talk…). If you are Skype user, please try it and let me know the result. :)

Unlimited Gmail Invitations?

February 27th, 2005 | Category: Google | 15 Comments

Gmail logoI wonder if those who spend money to buy a Gmail account are starting to feel regret now or not…

For your information, I am the Top 10 who gives away free gmail invitation. I don’t remember how many Gmail invitations I have send out. It always “send out” like hot cake. But, not this time…

Since Google starts to be generous and give away 50 invitations at one time, I still have A LOT Gmail invitations left (See the sidebar, I have 99 left). Whenever I left only 10 or 20 something, Google will “top up” the invitations to 50 again!

Urgh! Hate you! Hate you!
