Free Image Stocks

Many designers are always busy looking for free images to be used in their design. I am not a designer but I do need to use some photos sometimes. After digging in Internet, I found the following sites that offer free and large resolution images for both personal and commercial use.
- stock.xchng — the best and largest free images stock available, I might say. Currently collected over 120,000 images! Photos are nicely divided into categories, or you can search by keywords. Free registration required for fullsize photo.
- Image * After — about 10,000 of free images and free textures. A good place to find image for background. No registration required.
- DeviantArt Stock Photos — DeviantArt is a popular designer forum. There are alot great design images. The stock photos are members contribution. No registration required.
My two cents
There are some other free image sites but they only offer very little number of photos. If you found any site offer large amount of free photos, please let me know. By the way, it is always polite to inform the photo owner before you are using his/her photo.

Its has quite a good selection also. Sxc.hu is far bigger i suppose. Other subscnption based like http://www.istockphoto.com/ is quite good and cheap.

Due to huge image storage at stock.xchng, it’s hard for me to find a quick image i need, have to keep on cliking…
