It is a VoIP service based in US. After subscribe to the service, you need a Telextreme ATA device to connect your phone to a broadband connection.
Does it work? Yes. My boss just tried the demo in the office today. The setup is fast and easy. According to my boss, “It(voice) is clear.”
Thought:
I am amazed by the service. Unlimited local and outstation calls at so low charge! Use normal phone, no learning required. Wow! Better than SkypeOut!
I am not sure how much the sales guy charge, but according to the website we only need to pay US$199.95 to buy the TelExtreme ATA.
If your company is paying thoudsands per month for phone calls, this service is worth to be considered.
Anyway, I am Not the affiliate of Telextreme. Just share the good information with you all.

i think its still “expensive” if compare to jaring’s 015. maxis-digi war is here, and i’m waiting for voip war.
March 23rd, 2005 at 12:52 am
also its for fixed line phones only. mobile phones are not included in it. 015 offers just that, with extras.

“from any TelExtreme Phone to any other TelExtreme Phone” - means the party you want to clal must have that device as well, unless your company have few clients only then its ok.
but jaring doesn’t need special device to call all fixed line for free…
sorry for the continues postings, it just came out form my thoughts..

Please note:
With the TelExtreme phone, you can make Unlimited calls to Any phone number in the covered countries. The other party do Not need to have TelExtreme.
For a company with busy calls, TelExtreme still cheaper than Jaring 015.

If you don’t want to pay monthly fees, you can try this http://www.sipphone.com. The router is only $99. You can hook one end to your broadband and the other to your regular phone.
I bought one few months ago and quite happy with the service.
March 24th, 2005 at 9:08 am
I am waiting for router for Skype available in Malaysia.
March 24th, 2005 at 10:41 pm
im waiting for a smartphone with skype .. he he he he…
imagine :
- unlimited 2.5 or 3g with one fixed fees per month (package)
plus
- a smartphone with skype.
its like bringing a phone anywhere and its free. if everyone is doing it, the world would be more kept in touch.
btw, eric pan, may i know where are you from ?
March 24th, 2005 at 11:20 pm

March 25th, 2005 at 12:52 pm

March 25th, 2005 at 2:09 pm
If we cannot register the service, why the sales guy came to my office to demo the service to my boss?
March 29th, 2005 at 12:04 pm
They are in malaysia already. Havent set up any office in Malaysia nor Singapore.
I’ve been to their meeting at Cititel Hotel. The fella who incharge of it cannot promise anything… i just don’t have confident in it.
