Get your New Website Indexed in Search Engines, Fast and Free!
Filed in: SEO Beginner, Web Development — April 15th, 2005Just made a new website and want it to be indexed(searchable) in all major search engines (e.g: Google, Yahoo!, MSN, etc)? Do NOT use search engine’s URL submit form!
Generally, it takes months for your site to be included in search engine if you use their URL submit form. Probably due to the long queue?
Peon, Malaysian SEO, post a great tutorial(with screenshots) in his blog on how to get your new site indexed FAST and FREE! You new website may be included in as short as one day!
The original post is in Malay language. I try to write the instructions here in my poor English.
Tricks to get indexed fast by Search Engines, FAST and FREE
We will make use of two popular sites here, Blogger.com and My Yahoo!. First part is link to your new website from Blogger.com blog. Second part is add blog feed content into My Yahoo!.
- After you have done your(or others?) new website, login Blogger.com and create a blog there. Don’t need to be serious about this blog, you just make use of it for your new website.
- Start a new post with link to your website in Blogger.com account. Don’t need to write full page long, just few keyword text with links are enough.
- Publish the post. An atom.xml file is generated as well.
- The path of your atom.xml is
http://yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml. Note the path. - Here is Second Part. Login My Yahoo!, click the “+ Add content” link, which located under the search field.
- At “Find Content” bar, click “Add RSS by URL”
- At new page, paste your blogger.com atom feed URL into the URL field, and click “Add” button
- The feed will be displayed in My Yahoo! page, and you are done!
How does it works?
Search engine bots like to visit high ranking websites and follow their links. The trick here is to add your website link into popular websites for free. Yahoo! and Blogger.com are two very popular websites. Plus, Blogger.com is owned by Google and My Yahoo! is Yahoo!’s site.

this is googlebombing. and the truth is u need to be very lucky to get indexed in a single day, that is the day before google starts to dance(called googledance). google n most search engine only update their index every month or so. get indexed in a day is increase-traffic-to-my-blog hype. if u went to google seo page, it says clearly that u shouldn’t rely on the submit url thing. ur site is more likely to get index if other website points to ur new website or if u submit to dmoz. if u just make a website n leave it there with no outside links to ur website, it’ll just rot there. even clicking a external link on ur website will prompt google to index ur site, as other website will list ur website as referal. i think that this is just a pathetic way to increase traffic to a useless website. if ur website is good, ppl will naturally come(which is exactly what happened to Google in the first place). u don’t have to resort to spamming or killing resources of other ppl. it’s just pathetic…..

Google and most search engines DO NOT index once a month … their spiders are active almost everyday through out the year. And once in a blue moon, they update their algorythm and the HUGE INDEXING happens.
And about the spiders … they crawl everyday … and for most websites, they come and visit once a month. But for websites they really like, like those with PR7 or more … they might be visiting everyday … How else would they be able to index news, etc …
And I think Blog and Ping useful … as long as your website has good content, there’s no reason not to use it - it gives you traffic. Isn’t that the MOST important thing to a website? Design? Usability? Content? Yes, important - but what’s the use if nobody’s coming and reading it.
Have you heard the story about the most wonderful, bombastic, product ever … ? Yet, poor marketing it failed in the marketplace …

do u think metatags still works
April 5th, 2008 at 10:54 am
that’s ok..
but posting your ads to your new site at free classified site that has good rank seem more handly. Next go to qoogle webmaster tool to verified your site with html file or tag code, ads your sitemap (with your atom.xml).
this is not only fast index but also fast rank. If you have ftp account than you can use xml-sitemap.com to create your sitemap file for free (xml, ror,urllist.txt). These all will make your site powerful.
