PalmOne released new model in its Tungsten series - PalmOne Tungsten E2. The Tungsten E2 is an upgrade version of Tungsten E, with better processer, wireless connection, and more. Compare Tungsten E2 with other Palm PDAs.

Thought:
My brother’s Tungsten E spoiled after using for a year. He is planning to get a new palm pda this year, and me too! From the comparison chart, I would choose Zire 72. Add RM100 more and I get build-in digital camera and better multimedia functions. Of course, I will get the Zire 72 Silver edition. It looks so cool!

Yes, but the E2 has a battery like of more than 12 hours MP3 playback probably due to the new memory…I can’t even get six hours (unless I am running a underclocking app) on my bloody imate JAM. Wished I was back in Palm land…

I don’t like Palm. In fact they are not user friendly Windows user. Each time I wanted to transfer DOC / XLS file into my Palm, it will change my file format into something else (the same apply for videos and photos unless you use memory card). Unlike PocketPC, I can sync easily using the same file format

Liew, haiyah….nowadays got 2Gb cards. PDAs good enough to my audio players…
Al, you should try the new DocumentsToGo, since v6 all works with native file format with zero conversion, while retaining the full format of word documents (Pocket Words in my experience changes the formating after saving). Even has more powerful functionality than Pocket Word/Excel. palmOne’s PDA has better bundled office suite than most Pocket PC PDAs.

Hi Jon, I have used both OpenOffice and DocToGo. They are not user friendly. I expect my spreadsheet and notes to sync the fastest possible so that I am able to start my work and sync bank into my PDA once I’m finish and going on or mobiling. Palm actually slows down my sync time. I’m now a happy PPC user
and if you mean what I expect my ‘fast’, I mean I want my PDA to act like a Thumbdrive!
PDA still has sound quality problem. They are using mono speakers while their headphone jack doesn’t really play well. Get a real MP3 player for mp3 listening pleasure
