Though I didn’t take this challenge too seriously at first, I couldn’t help playing around with some ideas. If you’ve been in a data center, you know there is a lot of wire, and racks with stacks of servers in them. I had some experience running websites and had seen evidence of the Googlebot hitting my own websites. Some kind of robot icon could be a neat starting point. Then I pondered the question: what does Google do? The grossly simplified answer that I came up with is Google connects the world with the Internet.

Wordpress Plugin: Auto Ping PPS (alpha)

I wrote a manual to ping Project Petaling Street(PPS) previously. The instruction is quite troublesome and there is request for Ping PPS plugin. It enlighten me and I wrote this small plugin to auto insert PPS ping URL for you.

  1. Download ping-pps plugin.
  2. Edit the file. Replace PPS URL(line #13) with the PPS ping URL(provided to you after PPS registeration).
  3. Rename the .txt file extension to .php, so that the filename become ping-pps.php
  4. Upload the file into your WP’s /wp-content/plugin directory.
  5. Active the plugin. Done.
Note:
Tested on Wordpress 1.5 using Firefox, work for normal edit mode only. I am still working on it for Advance mode.

After browsing hundreds of wordpress templates/themes, I found the following list of Wordpress 1.5 three columns templates. It might be the most complete list of Wordpress 3 column templates!

But, only three of them suite my taste.
