PSP Price in Malaysia
Filed in: Gadgets, Malaysia — May 2nd, 2005

Some were asking about the Sony Playstation Portable(PSP) price in Malaysia. I don’t have the info in hands, so I ask for them in local newsgroup.
Here is Mark Ng’s reply:
Yep, both US and Japanese versions are available. Japanese version costs around RM1000 or less. The US one is about USD$200 more(RM1200+).
Some shops are even carrying UMD Video. Most of them are Region 1.
Avalaible in Imbi Plaza, Sungei Wang, 1 Utama, MidValley Megamall and lots more.
My two cents
Seems like PSP is not as expensive as I thought. Check out PSP hacks for more things you can do with a PSP.
Update: PSP is more affordable nowadays, which is under RM1000.

PSP is cheaper from importer then getting it from Sony Malaysia. Couple of months ago, I was in a casual meeting with a local game distributor in charge of some PSP titles under their main brand company, the person said that Sony Malaysia will officially launch PSP somewhere in the middle of this year and with expected price of 1.6k.
Kinda overprice…besides, everybody knows that even Playstation2 are much more expensive in Sony Wings then normal shops.

A local store at Malacca sell at RM1090. Whereas both XBOX and PS2 is selling at RM799. I think the price is reasonable now.

does anyone no how much a psp game costs in malaysia?
August 9th, 2005 at 4:44 pm
ok.. i’m local (Malaysian) and let me answer all of your questions here as I’m interested to buy one too but too expensive. PSP Value Pack price is around RM1299 here and the game price is ranging from RM250 to RM300.. Who could possibly afford to buy such an expensive game in Malaysia..? No pirated UMD disc yet in Malaysia. But now you can play PSP games via memory stick.. One thing in mind that you need a big capacity of memory stick in order to play the games. 1GB of memory stick from Sandisk costs around RM600 over. Expensive? Yes!! It is..

Hi everybody!
I have a friend going to Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
What is the price for Sony PSP Value pack in Kuala Lumpur?
Where exactly can he buy one in Kuala Lumpur?
August 23rd, 2005 at 9:46 pm
The cheapest PSP I can get in KL is RM1100.. I believe any shopping complex in KL you could manage to find one… even smaller complex also you could get it, like Selayang Mall, Ampang Park etc.. There are two version, US and Japan.. Japan version is cheaper than US…
August 24th, 2005 at 3:44 pm
The killer application for PSP is multi players wireless gaming. But you should also be careful when buying the UMD disc. You’ll not be able to detect the other player who are playing the same game in different country version (US/Japan)
September 1st, 2005 at 12:57 am
I’ve just visited Hong Kong and Taiwan. HK is selling about RM1000 plus for a Japanese version without game. Taiwan, on the other hand, you can get a PSP with a game (GOLF) for around RM900 plus. Much cheaper compare around the region. Seems like all electronic goods are prised reasonably there.
September 2nd, 2005 at 10:01 pm
I just returned from KL, and the price of a value Pack in Sungei Wang was 700 MYR.
September 3rd, 2005 at 12:34 pm
I can’t believe that the price is dropped so tremendously.. Any idea what’s the current price of 1GB memory stick from Sandisk?
September 3rd, 2005 at 8:40 pm
MYR 700 for value pack? Which store???
September 3rd, 2005 at 10:15 pm
I cannot remeber the store, but in fact I asked 2 stores both said same price MYR 700. If you are in KL will be easy to find
September 4th, 2005 at 5:40 pm
Went to Sg Wang just now.. Could you pls tell me which store that is selling PSP for RM700 for value pack? The RM700 is only includes charger and the device. The value pack around Sg Wang is about RM830 and 1gb of memory stick is RM450.. And there is one store saying that their PSP is version 1.0… means 1st batch.. hmm..
September 6th, 2005 at 12:07 am
Bought the PSP for my sis from Sg Wang.. Cost RM1330.. It includes one Value Pack, 1GB memory stick, one UMD Demo Disc (to be used to boot certain games in ISO format).. I’m sure the RM700 one is not a value pack..
September 7th, 2005 at 4:38 pm
Guys can u pls help me?? Are there imitation games for PSP in Malaysia yet? Im staying in KL area…. Pls tell me A.S.A.P.
September 7th, 2005 at 5:21 pm

September 8th, 2005 at 2:16 am
Hi guys, im going to be in singapore at christmas time, any idea of what the price the psp will be? Cheers
September 12th, 2005 at 4:28 pm
RM1150 for a value pack?? Too expensive and you have been conned. As for imitation games, pls search it from the net and eventually you would find a way..
September 12th, 2005 at 5:29 pm
Could you share where to get the free games EASILY?
September 12th, 2005 at 5:46 pm
Hi ks… I really doubt where did you get your value pack for RM700.. Pls give me the location and the name of the store if it is true…
September 12th, 2005 at 5:59 pm
hi chong, it wasn’t me who got it at 700. i also want to know where to get that
i never expect a free lunch. i usually pay for my food, haha…
September 13th, 2005 at 2:59 am
Hi guys,
As i asked before…
im going to be in singapore at christmas time, any idea of what the price the psp will be?
Cheers
September 13th, 2005 at 6:43 pm
Hello my friend… Christmas is still long way to go… How could anybody predict the price of PSP in another 3 months time. 3 months ago the price of PSP here was about RM1500.. Now is RM850.. I’ve read quite a lot of things about PSP and I found out that the price of RM850 in Sg Wang is consider quite reasonable comparing to Taiwan, Hong Kong and other asean countries. .. Why go to Singapore to buy? Let’s say you manage to buy one in Singapore for SGD350, here is about RM750… What if it’s faulty after playing it for less than a month? Ya, you can always go back to the shop in Singapore.. You save RM100 but you are taking a risk… Worth it?? Then do it… I got no interest in knowing the price in Singapore.. Unless it is less than SGD250… Possible?? Of course not…
September 14th, 2005 at 11:17 am
i’ve found this site EXTREMELY useful as i was shopping for a psp as a gift for a friend and i knew nuts about these sorta boy toys. the discussion here has absolutely given me a crash course on everything to do with psp purchasing. i just bought him one in 1Utama (this store beside TGV cinema) for the price of rm1199. its the new asia version (not japan or u.s) so its better in terms of dvd viewing etc or so the fella told me. its a value pack that comes with headset, pouch, device, charger, batt and 32mb card. i probably shud have gone to sg wang instead but that place gives me the creeps. so thank you all. i think he liked it a whole lot.
September 14th, 2005 at 4:22 pm
Haha…Look like you guys all talk about PSP. My room mate bought the PSP and I borrow it to play for a week. Actually, we r now in UK. UK sold it at 179 pound value pack. No game included. He He bought the Ridge Racer cost him 34.99pound. Wow damn expensive to have this big toy. Well, it is nice to have it. The screen is big, bigger than Gameboy LOL, color absolutely fantastic very clear and vivid.
Disadvantages:- only 32mb memory. So, if you want to watch movie you have to get 1GB memory and convert the file name to AVI.
Anyway guys, how much it cost a UMD games in M’sia? UK look like very expensive to buy a UMD games. Err better buy PlayStation 2 much cheaper and have pirated games LOL…Of course i know PSP can bring u around to play it, but it is too expensive for me to buy. Maybe, wait until th price drop haha..
September 15th, 2005 at 7:25 pm
Hi, I am from Malaysia.I would like to let everyone know about the current price for PSP in Sungai Wang.
PSP JAPAN VERSION BASIC RM700 (firmware 1.51 and above)
PSP JAPAN VERSION VALUE PACK RM 900 (FIRMWARE 1.50)
PSP JAPAN VERSION VALUE PACK RM 880 (FIRMWARE 1.51 AND ABOVE)
PSP US VERSION VALUE PACK RM 1060 (FIRMWARE 1.51)
PSP ASIA VERSION VALUE PACK RM 1000 (FIRMWARE 1.51)
PSP GAMES RM 150 TO RM 200
PSP UMD MOVIE RM 120 TO RM 160
SANDISK 1 gb memory stick RM 380
*only psp with firmware 1.50 and below can play emulator and games on memory stick.
September 17th, 2005 at 9:54 am
Just bought my PSP Japanese version 1.5 for RM880 (could get RM860 but stick RM450) and Sandisk 1GB stick for RM380 in Sg Wang.. This is my advise to all the Malaysian in KL.. Buy gadgets (including PSP / HP) only in Sg Wang or Low Yat and make comparison from every store around before buying it.. How could one staying in KL doesn’t know that 1 Utama’s gadgets are more expensive?? sigh…
Straffic!!.. You said one game 34.99 is expensive?? Here the cheapest one is RM160… If one game here is RM34.99, I’d buy original games and would never play pirated.. I don’t earn much, just about RM1500… So one game takes me about 13% of my salary… This is what we call EXPENSIVE!!!.. One set of PSP (including 1GB stick) takes me about 85% of my salary.. This is what we call EXPENSIVE!!!.. sigh…
September 17th, 2005 at 5:04 pm
Wow Chong you bought PSP only RM880..some more include 1GB memory. That’s cheap in Malaysia. Here is like 179 POUND..and only 32mb memory. if u don’t convert of course here cheap lah. But, if i convert of course here EXPENSIVE lah dude. It is around RM1230++….and the game here is 34.99 pound so is around RM240++….get it….
Yoh dude u at least earn some money from ur salary, me didn’t earn anything…i got to save in order to buy it…i think i will go back to M’sia buy rather than here…
Anyway, have fun with the PSP…i’m almost finished the Ridge Racer game. Quite nice the racing game. Recommended!!
September 18th, 2005 at 3:11 pm
erh…i have a question here….i plan to buy a psp next month…and i was wondering if there’s dead pixel on the psp sold in malaysia? i won’t wanna spend my money on things that is not perfect…and is there anyway to get a cheaper 1G memory stick… coz my fren told me that he got it for 180++
September 18th, 2005 at 10:55 pm
Kenny,
I suggest you but a new psp because sometimes dead pixel can cause a lot of problem when playing games.
So far the cheapest 1gb sandisk memory stick pro duo I get is RM 365.
September 19th, 2005 at 12:38 am
thx Johnny.i got another question to ask…can i actually fit the whole dvd video in the memory stick pro duo? how big the file will be? izzit true that i can barely fit one dvd video only in the memory stick?
September 19th, 2005 at 12:47 am
Kenny: since PSP support MP4, you can encode the DVD video into MP4 format (which is much smaller size) and store in memory stick.
September 19th, 2005 at 11:40 am
Actually, the size of mp4 format depends on the video and audio quality. If the video and audio quality is best then you can not fit it in a 1gb memory stick.
September 19th, 2005 at 9:23 pm
Nothing is perfect… Ya.. my newly bought PSP got 3 dead pixels.. Some more the screen got few dots (not eraseable)… I can accept it if it doesn’t give me big problem…
I recommend you all to use the PSP Video Express (free) to convert videos to PSP mp4 format… Use the google search engine and eventually you would manage to find it.. This program will let you know the size of the output video b4 you start converting it.. Look around in the net especially forum and you would find out a lot of answers…
September 19th, 2005 at 9:53 pm
Chong,if your psp got dead pixel then go and exchange because most of the shop allow to exchange within 1 week of purchase.
September 19th, 2005 at 10:43 pm
According to the user manual (i downloaded it from the US site as mine is in Japanese language), the dead pixels are normal… Read the following extracted from the user manual..
Quote
“LCD screens are made with highly precise technology, but in most cases, black spots may appear, or red, blue or green may remain on the screen. This is not a malfunction.”
Unquote
September 19th, 2005 at 11:39 pm
erh…but didn’t u guys check whether got dead pixels or not during the time u purchase it ? To tell the truth i won’t accept even when it had only 1 dead pixel…some of u might hate me….but i’m one of those perfectionist…i can’t help it….sigh…
September 20th, 2005 at 11:03 am
I’m also particular about those things but when the user manual said it’s normal, means normal!!! Unless you want to be abnormal…
Pray to god that no one or yourself would scratch your PSP otherwise you would not have a peaceful night because it’s not PERFECT anymore… Unless you buy a new one….
Bear in mind.. Nothing is perfect…
September 20th, 2005 at 4:51 pm
i’m using the australia version 2.0.i bought it for like 399 man.i didn’t know malaysia so cheap.but they say those shop change all the things inside the box 1.all i know is v 2.0 cannot store games inside the psp.but i can go online with 2.0.can anyone tell me whether i can store games inside and where do i get the program and games?
September 20th, 2005 at 11:37 pm
Currently you can’t do anything with v 2.0… You should have known this earlier on b4 buying if you wanted to play ‘free’ games…
September 21st, 2005 at 12:17 am
I would to inform everyone about playing psp games on memory stick.Currently the best loader available is fastloader 0.7 which only support firmware 1.0 and 1.50.fastloader will let you play about 90% of psp games.(about 60 psp iso). However some psp iso size is more than 1 gb so better buy original psp games than buy a 2gb memory stick.
Here is the list of games which iso more than 1gb:
MLB_USA
Midnight_Club_3_Dub_Edition_USA
Tiger_Woods
MVP_Baseball_USA
To know more about the psp iso, please email me at johnnyw6113@yahoo.com
September 21st, 2005 at 12:42 am
i know nothing is perfect… but don’t u think it’s a little not fair when u pay the same price as anybody else and what u get is not as good as what others got? both my frens have no dead pix on their psp and what makes me deserve to have one with dead pix ?
September 21st, 2005 at 1:17 am
Bear another thing in mind… Nothing is fair…
September 21st, 2005 at 1:24 am
Another alternative loader is dev hook… It doesn’t need an UMD disc present in the drive… I love dev hook more than fastloader… I’d play all my games using dev hook unless few of them using fastloader when the dev hook failed..
I remember there have ripped version for Tiger Wood and MLB_USA where you can fit it into your 1GB stick.. As for Midnight Club, I’ve downloaded the rip kit but haven’t got the time to test it out…
September 21st, 2005 at 2:25 am
hi guys…i’ve got a question in my mind that i have to make sure before i buy a psp , can anyone tell me wats the difference between US ver and JPN ver of psp y their price is so much diffrent? izzit true that JPN ver can only play japan games and US ver can only play US games? i’m confused
September 21st, 2005 at 3:01 am
hi……

thanks
September 21st, 2005 at 1:33 pm
psp in malaysia is alot more cheaper. around rm800, well not alot cheaper but still.
“which version we can watch pirated movies or play pirated games.”
please support original. don’t buy psp if u want to get warez games.
September 21st, 2005 at 5:45 pm
so from the price above, the firmware 1.5 is more expensive..so most people are getting this to be able to play pirated (more like, downloaded) games via mem stick?
i saw on another forum where you can downgrade it from 2.0 to 1.5. that means you can get the newer versions. other than firmware, are there any differences between them?
also, which version is better (JAP, US, ASIA)? what are the pro/cons? im thinking of getting JAP because i like Jap products! ( i can have english as language on it?? )
September 21st, 2005 at 5:54 pm
dear mr.ron
from what i know, the Jap,US, Asia can play any games (it is region-free) so you can play jap, english, games.
only the dvd - movies are region locked. you can only play dvds from Jap, or US, or asia. much like real (original) dvds.
but movies aren’t so great on psp, the main thing is games. so doesn’t mean its better to get your local PSP. you can watch downloaded movies on your mem stick anyway, which is free too (anime, porn, downloaded-cinema-quality-movies. yah yah)
but im not sure on other features too. like warranty and language. someone need to tell us.
September 21st, 2005 at 11:35 pm
japanese version psp can change it menu language to english and other language.regarding the downgrade firmware,I found out from the internet thaat it is fake and the current project has stop due to some reason.
September 21st, 2005 at 11:48 pm
All of the questions about PSP games, movie, converter, loaders, rip kits and other homebrews software were answered in http://www.psp-hacks.com/forum
September 22nd, 2005 at 11:43 am
Dear all, please do not discuss about pirate game here.
September 22nd, 2005 at 11:56 am
thanks LcF. im getting sick of people discussing pirated psp games.
September 22nd, 2005 at 3:39 pm
ok, no piracy.
i want to know which version most people are getting and why. (either new or old firmware) and also (JAP. US or ASIA).
btw, would it be cheaper to get it overseas, like Hong kong or Japan? or where is cheaper?
September 22nd, 2005 at 5:08 pm
Can anyone tell me how to put videos in my PSP?
September 22nd, 2005 at 5:41 pm
im in australia and wish to purchase psp from overseas…..what websites would you recommend to purchase online??? and what version???(Jap, Asia, Us) any websites in singapore that you know of?
September 22nd, 2005 at 8:03 pm
i’m also in Austtralia and looking on the internet, i heard some ppl saying that their JAPAN and US psp is able to play australian dvds. that is a region 1 and 2 able to play region 4.
im thinking of getting a JAP because, then it can play region 2 and 4.
from what i hear, there isn’t much difference in all the versions apart from the region lock for movies. only hear some rumors saying JAP is better.
i think if you want to watch movies often, get one according to where you purchase the movies.
September 23rd, 2005 at 11:13 am

September 23rd, 2005 at 2:43 pm
Region 1 - The U.S., U.S. territories and Canada
Region 2 - Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Egypt, South Africa, Greenland
Region 3 - Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong
Region 4 - Mexico, South America, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Caribbean
Region 5 - Russia (okay, former Russia), Eastern Europe, India, most of Africa, North Korea, Mongolia
Region 6 - China
no difference between JPN,ASIAN,EURO,NA PSP except for region locks. JPN PSP gets faster firmware release.
VK: I bought my PSP 2nd hand and most of the PSP games 2nd hand too. You can check here and here.
September 25th, 2005 at 10:01 pm

September 28th, 2005 at 1:49 pm
i say bullshit
it’s either he got them illegally or its a scam.
September 29th, 2005 at 5:10 pm
It doesn’t matter which region you get, in the end the PSP can be hacked to suit whatever you want. All it takes is a simple emulator and you can play classic Genisis games, or GameBoy games on your PSP, same thing with playing movies - like how you can crack your DVD drive to play any region.
In the end it’s all the same hardware, save for the chip suppliers.
September 30th, 2005 at 3:10 pm

For those who are living in Melbourne. There is a shop in the carlton are selling PSP set for AUD 340+. I’m going to go check it out tomorrow with my friend and will post details later. All you have to do is give EBgames the contact for that shop and they will beat the price that’s offered by the other shop. I say that’s pretty fair o.o-b I’ve been shopping around for months now to get my PSP *drools*

[edit: no pirate game discussion]
…And anyone sure that online games are actually SUPPORTED here in Malaysia?do we have servers?if we do how come online games(e.g ff Xi) for ps2 doesn’t seem to be availale here?
October 16th, 2005 at 9:11 am
reply for “hey guys, i would like to know, that if u can play multiplayer games online using pirated psp games? ”
To be honest, I doubt you can..but you can always try..
you see, malaysian people tend to buy pirated games..that’s why they are not able to play online games for most of the PC games..just to name some: CS source, battlefield2, guild wars etc…Yes, I’m talking about the PC games..but i reckon it would probably be the same for PSP..pirated games = mostly no online features…so, it’s all about compromising…
do you all know that malaysia and china are the countries pirating most softwares??
If you dont believe, here’s the source..
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/02/11/news_6118497.html
Buying stuff in malaysia are really risky, I can say..
October 16th, 2005 at 8:01 pm
reply for “And anyone sure that online games are actually SUPPORTED here in Malaysia?do we have servers?if we do how come online games(e.g ff Xi) for ps2 doesn’t seem to be availale here? ”
they dont have servers mostly because there are no demands. for example, to play ff 11 online, first, you’ll need a non-pirated game, a network adapter, a 10 gb harddrive..and also you’ll need to pay every month..not many ppl in malaysia are willing to pay this much money to play it online..so if there is no demand..there will be no servers..
October 16th, 2005 at 8:41 pm
i think we cant play ff 11 online. Coz malaysian ISP not support it !

Hi guys, im in Melbourne right now, going back to Msia by early Dec. Been dying for a PSP, but i need to know the price. Unfortunately im feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information here. First of all, if you buy PSP value pack u get all that stuff that was listed before. what if you buy PSP (not value pack)? what will you get? Just PSP and charger?
Secondly what is firmware? In Australia i heard its 2.0 and in Msia its 1.50. Whats the difference and what can each version do/cannot do? If i were to buy it back home, i would still end up buying games from Aussie so i need to know if i can still play Aussie sold UMD games.
i dont care about movies cause i dont wanna watch on a crappy small screen so if anything i would probably load movies from the PC. Thirdly can i still play wireless with friends with different version PSP and firmware?
Fourth is, i heard one of the versions(Jap/US) have better screen quality, is that true?
Either way i would prefer to buy PSP in Aussie cause its guarenteed to be original(dont completely trust sungei wang people), but if the price in Msia is too good to be true then i would buy it back home. SaintAngelius, where exactly is that shop selling for AUD340? can give me the specific address and shop name? Either way the curent price here is AUD399 which is almost RM1200 for value pack (i think they only sell value pack here)
if someone could pls take the time to answer all my questions it would really help me a lot to make my final decision. Than you guys!!!!
October 25th, 2005 at 12:10 pm
Oh and one more thing, the PSP’s sold in Aussie are PAL format. So besides Australia which other countries can i buy games from? Can i still play games bought in Msia using a PAL type PSP?
October 25th, 2005 at 2:27 pm
i need to ask….. when buying a psp… does the made in ’somewhere’ make a difference even if it is a japanese version? and.. whats the good things about the new firmware? PLEASE….

November 2nd, 2005 at 3:11 pm
get a us version will let u enjoy more choice of umd movie…coz most of the hollywood movie…blablabla…like spider man…resident evil…the hostage..war oh the world r in region 1…us version…if u like watching Po-Rn…or anime…get a jpn version…n it will b cheaper…for asia ver…u will get warranty from sony asia…coz asia oficial psp is asia version…my recommend is get jpn v..coz it’s cheaper than others….
November 3rd, 2005 at 1:24 am

Lucky Plaza in Orchard Rd has good prices. I bought for my son yesterday and they are asking S$250 (LOWEST) for console +charger alone + 33MB card. Many shops will ask S$300 or so and cannot bargain.
The shop I bought from was on the right side (CK Tang side) along the corridor on the lower level. We kept asking for US version but the salesguy seems to know his stuff and said does not matter about version for games (true) but for movies, then there is region lock. The unit we got had firmware 1.51.
Total cost of Value Pack + hard case + Media Manager USB cable was S$490 and I calculated that I saved at least 40% on Malaysian price. S$1.00 = RM2.30.
Now back in KL realise one thing… should have got him a memory stick also. 33MB is meaningless! Can only put some songs and not even games. Hardware is definitely cheaper down there so buy as much as you can afford.
I’m not a PSP fan myself but I can appreciate that it is an impressive device!
November 9th, 2005 at 5:24 pm
I juz Heard that the psp is selling 4 RM600++ at sg wang plaza. Do u guys know how much it is in holiday plaza jb

November 15th, 2005 at 8:21 pm
I have been reading all your replies and I am even more confused..
I need to ask something..
I found an offer on the internet for US$ 155.00 /unit from a shop in Indonesia!!!
How can this be true??? It smells like a fraud to me!!
If you dont believe me just take a look here:

this has no doubt been answered before but anyway. i’m living in the UK and travelling to KL next week. I would like to get a PSP at a good price but need 2 know a few things.
Where 2 get it from?
How much should I pay? Price in the UK is still £200 (about 1300 MYR)
What type to get?
Should the warranty be worldwide?
What can I/can’t I buy/play on it from the UK if I buy in KL? this is the main thing - I don’t want to not be able to get anything for it when I get back home.
Thanks very much
November 28th, 2005 at 9:22 pm

January 20th, 2006 at 11:35 am
Hi all, I think you guys should go to the Sony Style at The Curve and have a look of those PSP packages offered. To me the price quite reasonable. Range from 1299 to 1699, some with free games, some with free Zorro pack (which I think must have), some free 1g mem stick and value pack. Ceramic white is available now.
January 21st, 2006 at 12:39 am
cslee everyone knows that things at sony style is damn xpensive. (emmm wonder if you work with them ahaks!!! :p)
anyway i survey for a PSP at sungei wang today :-
standard pack RM700
value pack V 1.5 RM800/RM830/RM900
MS Stick Pro 1GB RM300/RM320/sony style sold @ RM345
D/load Games One for RM15/RM20
A Disk contains 15 D/load games RM50
A shop at level 4 offer me
value pack V1.5(RM900) + 1GB MS Pro(RM320) + 3 Disc of Games “45 games” (RM120) + screen protactor for RM1350 i think its still xpensive but thats the only shop that sold a compilation of games
January 21st, 2006 at 10:29 am
Cairel, if I work with Sony, I will get cheaper than that :P.
Anyway, thanks for the info. In fact I am still searching for the best deal. I am looking for something like white PSP+1gb+free game (UMD)+software bundled+screen protector. will try to search in Sg. Wang.
I think most of the games offered there are for 1.0 and 1.5 only right?
What is the firmware version for the ceramic white PSP?
January 21st, 2006 at 11:34 am
hi ppl.
wats the price difference between the ceramic white and the black psp?
is the cecramic white better or just a different color?
wat does the standard pack and value pack have?
cairel. wat sort of games do they have in the disc of 15 games?
are they the good games like gta and sims, or lousy ones?
January 21st, 2006 at 9:50 pm

Ok, I was in Malaysia last week, went into Sugai Wang, BB Plaza, Low Yat, etc. Best place to go is Sugai Wang, here are the indicative best prices from my scan around the shops - Standard console RM800, Value Pack RM900, Value Pack plus 1GB MS Pro Duo RM1150 (all prices based on firmware 1.5 black model only). Ceramic seems to be available only in firmware 2.5/2.6, prices are pretty much the same as the black. Happy shopping!

Just be careful guys, make sure what you pay is what you get, unless you don’t mind, original parts come with higher price tag. some may offer you cheaper price, but they may give you non original parts like charger, batteries… or higher games price.
I went to Sg Wang last Sat, full original Giga Pack from RM1030- 1150. Try if you can get cheaper price after the PS3 launched.
