eBay’s Response to Google Online Payment Service

I guess eBay(PayPal) is quite panic after Google plans to offer online payment services. It takes actions immediately to offer new merchant service and launches eBay developer website.
PayPal tool provides checkout at merchant sites
A new tool from PayPal is designed to give merchants the option of letting customers complete credit card transactions on the merchants’ own sites–that is, without being redirected to PayPal’s site.
eBay launches developer Web site
eBay has launched a new Web site intended to help developers create applications for the auction site and its PayPal online payment service.

Well I have been using PayPal for a few years now and can’t be bothered to switch to google.
