Google Video Viewer - First Hand Review

I reviewed the new Google Google Video Viewer just after it is launched!

All right, Google Video Viewer is live now, few minutes after I posted about it.

How do I get Google Video Viewer?
Download from http://video.google.com/video_download.html. The installation file size is only 1.12MB. Support Firefox(great!) and IE, MS Windows and DirectX 9.0c required.

I have installed the Google Video Viewer, but where is the program icon?!
There is NO program group/icon. No worry.

So, what now?
Goto Google Video Search and launch a video search. I suggest search “google”.

You will get a list of video search result, and some of them have a blue color “Play” button in front the title link. Click on the link with “Play” button will bring you to a new page, with a list of videos available.

Again, click on the blue color “Play” button will play the video — in the browser(switched video screenshot picture to video). There is no video player GUI, the video played in-line!

How is the quality?
The video quality is good, but it failed to load the video after playback for a couple seconds(I am on 512Kbps Internet connection). Just halt there, no response. I forced to stop the video. :???:

About the video viewer
The video viewer has the simplest “Play” or “Stop” control only.

Thought:
The Google Video Viewer just do its job - playback video. Nothing more or less. Perhaps still not many video clips are available, I tried few searches but failed to find other videos.

It would be great if we can integrate Google Video into our website/blog, of coz, with improved playback speed for slower connection and adds volumn control.
