You store sensitive data in the computer hardisk, what if it is stolen one day? The Ensconce Data Technology is introducing “death on demand” data security solution to protect your date drop in wrong hands, by — destroy it.

The technology relies on external signal. Example: A GPS system detected that the hardisk leaves the permited area and send a signal to the hardisk. Once the hardisk detected the signal, it will destroy the data with some kind of chemical spray. The data will be destroyed permanently.

The “death on demand” hardisk will be available in early next year.
