Read PPS Policies Before You Ping
Filed in: Malaysia, Weblog — August 6th, 2005
Dear Aizuddin Danian has come out the Project Petaling Street Policies. You are welcome to comment about it.
A little ad revenue and affiliate programs are OK. Adsense, Adbrite, etc, etc are OK.
See? PPS has no problem with Adsense, just make sure you don’t make too much from the ads.

If ping in the midnight, even the 7 minute gap, you still get a long and continuos list of pings on PPS.

At least I am happy that they admitted the fact that they want to “makan” too.. Ok lah, can understand a bit. Well then just pay them lor.
but pinging to PPS wouldn’t have too much effect either. I am not sure, just a single-sided assumptions.
It also depends on the timing… pinging at weekends and evening would generates more traffic to your site; simply because many other bloggers are also pinging. ai-say, abuthen..
well, since they are homegrown (Malaysia product), I feel obligated to help them lor.

Pinging PPS does boost traffic for new blogs. It is a good place to expose your blog to Malaysian and the world.
With increasing pings of PPS, you need to choose the good timing when less people do blogging, example: mid night to early morning, weekends, etc. In that way, you will stay in PPS for a longer time.
Shhh… Don’t tell others about this!

spamping PPS or not…August 6th, 2005 at 11:00 am
kahsoon: don’t you know that many people visit PPS in the morning when they first startup computer?
August 6th, 2005 at 11:41 am
So we should ping like 2am then when people wake up our ping will still be on PPS.
Anyway…welcome back…I was glad to see that your corner was updated.

2am? your ping will be pushed down very soon. I think better timing is 5-6am
Oh. there was error in feed redirect.

I don’t get it. What’s so wrong with more revenue? Not like it will effect PPS also. And who will know?
Eh Liew, that “notify me on new comments via e-mail” is quite annoying. Can it be unticked by default?

well as i usually blog after midnight, i usually ping around 1.00am to 2.00am. then later on i realise that by morning, my ping will be pushed down, so i started to ping when i got to work in the morning i.e. 9.00am instead (this means only during working days). sometimes though i still ping after i finish blogging i.e. 2.00am.
ping around 5 - 6 am? no can do for me as that time i still zzzzzzzzzz.

if cannot wake up early, then make your pings before the opening office hour in the morning.
