Resigned. Preparing for Next Journey
Filed in: Life Log — August 18th, 2005
I gave my resign letter to my manager. It serves as an official 30 days notice prior my leaving. That will be the end of my second job.
I start working at November 2004. Next month is the 10th month. Not a long time, I was expecting to work for a longer time. Well, sometimes it is the environment pushing you forward.
I don’t expect to earn very much in the beginning but at least enough to cover my basic needs. Now, I do not have child, wife, nor girlfriend. I can take bigger risk without worry much.
Most importantly, I will have the control of my own time. At the same time, it also means that I need better time management and self discipline.
Good luck to me. ![]()

Sure, good luck to you !!
I’m also a freelance worker, or self employed to sound nicer. :p Sometimes income from freelance projects are more lucrative than fixed salary.
You are right, gotta try something while we are still young and with no commitment yet. You situation is similar to mine, no car, no gf, but the only big difference is my blog’s traffic is far lesser than yours. :p

That’s a very brave move. I was also self employed as a web programmer for 2 years before giving up and working full time. Didn’t work for me as there were some periods I had no contract jobs at all. It was tough but I do agree the rewards are there. Now I’m a senior system analyst at an IT company.
I’ll probably go back to freelancing once I get my other dream “projects” running again.
