Chitika Search Tab Allowed with Adsense Search?

Well, I am confused. Previously I made a public message to Google Adsense publisher who is running Chitika eMiniMalls. In the message, I said Chitika search tab is not allowed by Google Adsense search. Nobody complaint about that.

But, I read a thread from WebmasterWorld forum that Chitika search tab IS allowed ?!

"I asked for a clarification to AdSense team. They took their time and a few minutes ago I got the answer back. Translating and paraphrasing the answer I received, Chitika search tab available in eMiniMalls is not an additional web search tool, but a tool to search on specific products. This means that eMiniMall's search tab DOES NOT violate AdSense TOS and can be used without any problem." -- elfred

"I got the official ok to use it on my pages that also have AS code on them. AS support emailed me back with the ok a few days ago. You better believe I'll be saving that email!" -- Swebbie

Well? Will you add back Chitika eMiniMalls search tab? From my own experience, with or without the search tab does not make significant different. What do you think?

it make a different. Visitors might want to search for similar product that being advertise. Lets say that the advertisement shown Nokia 9800 but visitors might be interested in nokia 6600. So he/she might try to use the search function to see how much is the offer for that product. BTW liew, when do you get the 1st information saying that Google does not allow search tab in chitika? I thought you’d email Google about that.

*forgot - since I’d removed the search tab, number of clicks decreased by 30%. So I will turn it back as soon as possible.

Lilian: I am not surprise. Basically online advertisements are targeted to western countries. You see, how many Malaysia companies do online advertisements? ;)
