Custom Query String - set different wordpress post numbers

Filed in: WordPress, WordPress Plugins — October 10th, 2005

WordPress only allow one "number of posts" value for entire site (Reading options -> Blog pages), it does not allow showing different number of posts in different sections. Until I found "Custom Query String" (CQS) wordpress plugin...

custom query string

This plugin, only for WP 1.5, will allow you to set the number posts to show for all the different "query views" and each your categories in WordPress. You can choose how many posts or days, and what to order them by, for any of the queries and/or categories. All this easily set from an options page within the admin area.

With CQS, I can set different post numbers in front page and archive page (other conditions are supported, too). Great plugin!
