coComment WordPress Plugin

coComment is cool! I want my readers enjoy the free service on my blogs, therefore, I installed the coComment wordpress plugin to integrate coComment into this blog automatically.
Now, coComment members don’t have to click on the coComment bookmarklet when commenting on my blog. Your comments will be automatically saved to coComment.
coComment is now open for public free registration, no invitation required. coComment supports more blog services, including MovableType.

You will be prompted to log into coComment if you haven’t done so. Read update at bottom of the entry.

Once logged in, you will get a coComment button under the comment box.

By clicking on the coComment button, you will get a coComment options window, complete with the entry details which are editable.
My two cents
I realised that coComment integration will prompt visitors to log into coComment on every page with a comment form! It may be annoying to some non-coComment visitors. What do you think? I am considering disabling the plugin for now…
Update: the coComment login popup is hidden in the updated coComment plugin. You need to manually log into coComment by clicking on the coComment bookmarklet.

Yes, it’s annoying, I can’t deny that. Having this simple comment box that comes with WP is pretty much feels more comfortable then Cocommon plugin. I just clicked cancelled to close that pop-up box.

I’m aware of the problem, that having the plugin installed is annoying for non-cocomment users. I’m still thinking about the best solution, but the plugin will certainly be improved to deal with this.

glad you asked us….it’s really annoying and anything that pops up nowadays considered a no-no unless it’s a financial application, shopping cart.

Not sure if the trackback didn’t work or is still in moderation…
Anyway: the issue is resolved thanks to some input from the coComment guys.
The popup will not show anymore; if you’re not logged in to coComent you have to do so manually with the coComment bookmarklet.
